Its Official...My racing cherry has been popped!

Just got in...we took a detour to Hoobers and after a while more Magna members showed up and it turned into a Georgines night! I had a great day - despite my times the car ran great and I KNOW its a night and day difference to where I had it this morning. I ran low 14s all day on street tires, pump gas and full exhaust. I think just having slicks would have helped - couldn't hold any boost at the line. On the way home it wanted to fly compared to when I drove up.

Weatherwise, a little dreary at first but it cleared up, the BBQ was great, being able to just run - figuring out how to launch the car, etc was awesome.

Huge thanks to Jay and Mike for their efforts putting this together, as well as offering up advice, answering my dumb questions, etc. You too Paul!

well as it turned out our forcast bright sunny beautiful day was overcast clouds and ocassional scattered drizzle until about 12:30 when the sun came out

murph wasnt up to running today he told me to tkae his spot

the first passes
1.58 7.17 94.7 11.33 117.7
1.59 7.20 94.1 11.36 118.0
at 21 psi on the te44 ,
24/20.5 timing
tried some things but after the drizzles the track had lost the grip for a decent launch , finally just set the tune up for a slower 1.73 11.6@116 so i can run at etown without any issues over not having a roll bar

Yeah I wish I did better number wise but no alky, street tires, and an almost full tank didn't help (couldn't add any race gas). I tried NOT to fill it but my stupid gas gauge which showed 3/4 when I stopped was pegged when I got back in the car :-(

All that counts is that I drove it home :-) The GTP even did a turn with all the crap I had in it, fuel pump acted up right before I took it out and it fell on its face but besides all that ran a 15.6. If it didn't stumble and was empty instead of full it would prob have been in the 14s as well, not bad for a 99% stock car with 200,700 miles on it.
