| Mach.80 has a great post here on his approach that uses a Wildwood manual master (Willwood 260-9439) and a G-body adapter from Drag Race Brakes. His total cost was $340 shipped and: Quote:
For simplicity's sake I'm not inclined to do a junkyard swap from another GM car. Thanks for any and all feedback, Scott

I'm interested in doing the same too. Scott: If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest you post this same question in the Tech section of this site and turbobuick.com -Banning.

havent done it but i always thought that our powermaster bracket (the steel plate thats attaches to the firewall ) works for manual mastercylinders and would save you some $$ and make the install that much easier , far as know the alum bracket would only be needed for those guys who had vac booster going to manual, also recall there being a mopar manual MC that gets the job done

| Update: Lots of good info coming in on the thread I created on turbobuick.com. If folks are interested in this idea check it out. I'm all but certain to go with the Willwood 260-9439 unit. Just trying to figure out the best pedal ratio and setup and that will be that. |

A buddy of mine converted both his 67 Camaro and 72 Nova to manuals. He used a Mopar master cylinder. He just ran 9.2 with Camaro and he said that they worked fine. The good thing is they are readily available at any parts stores if you need one in a hurry. If you are interested I can ask him about his conversion.

My conversion to a Wilwood manual master cylinder is just about done; I'll post back in a few days with impressions. If you guys haven't seen it, the setup at dragracebrakes.com is a pretty nice plug-and-play one that's not hard on the wallet (compared to the powermaster buttblaster anyway...). Scott

Damn, that manual brake set up is cheap... I should do that while the car is apart... I'm spending way too much money, my wife would kill me if she found some of my receipts...LMAO...
