I'd be up for a Magna ride but it would have to be cruiser compatible

Sold the Ninja back in Jan/Feb, and I have a buyer for the Goldwing... so the KTM will be the only one.

NESBA offers 2 free 15 minute session to any newcomers. No need to saftey wire, cover lights, etc. All you have to do is pass a saftey check. From what I hear its very organized and tons of fun. I'm seriously thinking about it. It would be my first time but everyone is a newb at one time or another. Im just afraid it will become an addiction like drag racing. Track days are about $175 a day plus your yearly memebership fees. Expensive!

I could totally see getting sucked into track riding... I just don't have the time or funds available for another hobby like that.

Ok, here are the pictures of the motorcycle ride I did this weekend. I meant to post them the other day, but have been very busy and couldn't get to it till now.

Enjoy
-Banning.

-------------

Saturday would have been my Dad’s 67th birthday. He passed away 3 years ago, but I kept one of his bikes -- a mint 1977 Honda Goldwing GL1000. It hardly ever sees the light of day, but I thought this Saturday would be a nice occasion to take it out for a ride, especially since it would have been his birthday. Since I have two bikes now (also have a street legal KTM supermoto bike), my buddy (and MAGNA member) Madboost joined me on the ride so we could both have some fun. Although these are two drastically different kinds of bikes, we were just out for a cruise, so it was going to be fun no matter what. After all, any motorcycle is fun to ride!

The destination was Elk Neck State Park in Northeast, MD. This is where my family and I spent many summers on our boat when I was younger. In fact, that's where my dad spent his summers as a child too. We left our starting point in Hockessin, DE at about 8:45am and went South, towards Northeast, MD. It was a little cold when we left the garage, and we hit some light rain on the way down, but nothing heavy enough to make us pull over. Once in Northeast, we picked up RT 272 and followed it to its end in Elk Neck State Park. It was about then that the clouds broke and the rain stopped. From here on out we were to have clear riding.

Elk Neck State Park sits on a peninsula that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay. After taking a breather and checking out the views from some of the cliffs (see pics below), we backtracked slightly to the town of Northeast for lunch. On Northeast's Main Street there are several places to stop for lunch (or dinner) and in the summer time you can see upwards of 30 bikes parked along the street on a nice day.

After lunch we jumped back on 272 and headed North on 272 towards Nottingham, PA, then East to Oxford, and then continued further to Kennett Square, PA. Once there we headed South towards DE, riding many of the twisty roads that border the Brandywine Creek. By the time we finished up the ride back at the garage in Hockessin we had totaled about 135 miles! The weather turned out to be real nice, and the antique Honda ran great the whole way. Not bad considering it is 31 years old and mostly original huh?

Attached below are some pictures of the ride. Enjoy!

Picture #1: Here we are at the garage before starting the ride. My 1977 Honda Goldwing GL1000 is the foreground, and the Supermotard for the day, Madboost, next to the KTM!

Picture #2: The newly renovated covered bridge at Ashland Nature Center, in Hockessin, DE (a few miles from my house). The red bike and red bridge look good together don’t you think?

Picture #3: Our destination, Elk Neck State Park, and the end of RT 272. The ride to here was really nice. Everything was green and the road was a nice winding two lane stretch with very little traffic. To the left of this picture is a very high cliff that looks over the Chesapeake Bay.

Picture #4: Here I am standing on the edge of the cliff overlooking the Bay. I didn’t want to get any closer, as one misplaced step could put you in the water almost 200 feet below!

Nice Pics! When you said Goldwing I was picturing one of those huge Honda touring bikes that might as well be a car, not that! Looks great though!
