I hear ya Paulie. Im gonna drop the boost to 24 (chip is for 22-24), and tune it from there. The chip is a current version, so I think Im good there. Im do think Im out of injector, but that could very well be possible. And I agree, Im suprised this car even runs and runs as fast as it does. Ive gotta get a logger on it and see whats going on. Maybe if I ask real nice like someone will help me out.

Ive got some mechanical work to do, so after that I'll go back again.

Who is up to helping me install a linelock?

Sell some of that stuff you don't need (ATR bar, etc.) and buy a PowerLogger or DirectScan.

Or at least borrow one from someone!

Don't you need the ATR 3 bar version to work with the razor kit?

if you have the room in the injector (duty cycle under 100%) than add fuel in the chip , if duty is already at 100% than adding 3% just fattens the bottom more to the point injectors go 100% , if no room in injector lower the boost to limit of injector raise fp and lower 1st gear fuel
This stuff that Paul is saying is kind of critical if you want to tune your car to the limit and not do any damage. I made some nice little pictures showing what Paul is saying above. Simplifying things somewhat... injector duty will increase with rpm and the fuel output will not increase once the injector reaches 100%. Increasing the static fp will slightly increase the output at the injectors. For the pictures, assume boost and fuel pressure are constant throughout the rpm range. This would apply to cars running out of injector. The pictures are just a rough idea of whats going on.

Thanks Scotty. Thats pretty interesting. I already lowered the base FP and reset the chip. Will heat have an affect on FP? I ask becuase when I pulled the vac line off to lower it, the gauge read almost 50psi... I lowered it back to 43psi. Car seems to run just as strong. I also took 1.5 turns out of the WG. Boost it now steady at 24psi. Chip is a new 5.6 TT with 24°/23° default settings. I think with a better 60' I can run the same times with some room to spare.

Can I take fuel out of 1st and then add that fuel back at WOT? Im not very sure just what I can do with the chip. I read the instructions, but didnt mess with the fuel too much, other than adding some at WOT.

actually since going WB correcting my injector duty will stay constant once over 4000rpm , otherwise A/F would change and a/f doesnt need to change as rpm goes up as long as the boost is constant , actual fuel used does go up with rpm because your making the injector fire more times but with the injector on time (duty cycle) the same. if injector duty is increasing than its safe to assume your a/f is getting richer

and on the 5.6 chip , if you added 3%wot and didnt pull 3% from 1st gear than 1st gear was richer , with 50psi static and more fuel added its no wonder your 60s blow

Paulie, everytime I check the FP; its always different. I set it Wed. night at about 45psi, and when I rechecked it again last night; it was almost at 50psi..

I know I can adjust 1st gear fuel and WOT fuel independent of each other, but how does leaning out 1st help the 60'? Im not following you there. What is the advantage to leaning out first gear? I know there isnt much load on the engine at that point, but what gives?

And even if I tried it, how much could I take out? Messing with the chip is still new to me.

too rich can kill spoolup
little turbos need lotsa heat
if your rich less fuel makes for more heat

I found my gauge does that as well - I'll bet if you move the hose around, it changes.

Scott, I should be getting a DS in the next few days, and I won't be needing it for a couple of weeks for sure. You can use it if you need to while I am finishing my car.

I will let you know when it arrives...
