12 days to go!

As I look in my crystal ball, all I see is the MAGNA guys wrenching like mad
There's Banning, going at it in a big way, and over in this corner is Wayne and more tubing, Huber over in that corner digging into head gaskets, Dr Paul has been very quiet, wonder what he is cooking up Jay's been quiet also...., Don's been buying vehichles.... Scott has a down pipe lined up. Doug is all over the fuel/alky system.
Oh back to reality, sorry about that guys! Can't wait to see everyone at the track!

Chuck

I'll be there. I wont be racing however. The only thing really holding me back is a linelock and a decent set of Mickeys. I just cant swing that kinda money right now. Plus I need a alky chip for my 009s, so theres at least 2/10th right there with the proper timing. Im broke, no other way around it.

Its no use for me to race on the street tires, its no fun.

Sorry ya'll.

I've got half of a fuel system and battery relocation done. I'm waiting for head gaskets. And I have to finish welding in the bar. Thats all . Oh yeah I hope to have the alky in it by then.

Yeah I have been quite too. Just transitioning to a new job and getting used to my new schedule. I had to quit UPS (worked 4:15 AM to 8:30 AM) Mon through Friday. Then I had to go to my old full time job, from 10AM to 6PM And to top it off I worked Saturdays driving for UPS too. (That was also the reason I missed our last Englishtown event.) So I never got to see any track time during the week with work, but I now have a regular M-F. I now wake up at 6:30 AM instead of 3:30 AM. God I don't miss that!!!

I love Cecil County. I'm really looking foward to this event. The car is going to Mike's for a once over before then. Chances are I won't catch Huber anytime soon, but I can try right???

You'd rather NOT race than race on street tires and pump gas?

You'll regret that decision when you are standing along the fence watching everyone else.

Someday this all might come together: Girdled 109 stroker, 76GTQ 4-bolt turbo, Bronsonian Stage IV heads, 83's and Razor's dual nozzle, Turbotweak Speed Density w/WBo2 control, Powerstroke IC, Michael's TH400 w/transbrake, 33 spline Mosers & full spool, 325/50/15 drag radials.

Yeah B, I know. But its MUCH MORE fun when you have sticky tires. All my car will do is slide around off the launch and put on a smoke show for everyone.

And my lack of a linelock makes use of any DRs a moot point. Besides, its only an '86; its not that fast.

Besides, I still havent gotten my THDP in or my 009s, and I need a alky chip from Eric. The car has more in, it'll just have to wait till next season.

How much is it to race at the gate? I didnt preregister.

I agree with Banning. Run it as is. It sucks watching from the sidelines. This is all about being consitent, not fast. Ask Mike Mike Fareri (GNational86) about this. He tries to beat this concept into my thick skull every race day!
Hope to see you racing on the 13th!

you should still give them a try scotty
take it easy out of the hole

i made a couple passes the other night on true all season radial tires , 245/50-16 federal super steels on GTA rims (25.7" tall!!)

no trans brake , no race gas (nothing but 93..and alky ), left the line still in vacuum.
surprisingly it didnt spin the tires

Jay, my car is all over the ET map as it is, so consistency is right out the window. It'll hold like 5psi, then its a sideways drive and a smokeshow along with it. Next season Im gonna bring it, so watch out.

Pauly, you wouldnt happen to have a alky chip for 009s lying around would you? That would help with the tune once I get my 009s in (hopefully soon).

We'll see. Its gonna be a last minute decision for me.
