Need help with rear spoiler

Anyone have a good pic(s) that show how the 3piece spoiler sits on the rear decklid or how it's fastened from underneath? My body guy is having a hard time with this one. This is the last piece to go on before paint starts. Thanks, Leo.

He'll paint it off the car. The question he has is about fitment. He gave me alot of crap about how much I paid for it and yet it required quite a bit of prep and massaging to get it to fit. He originally thought it was flush with the decklid but I showed him a ton of pics that show how it wraps itself over the lip. In his defense the directions given are crap and only if you want to use adhesive and not bolt it in. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to bolt the end pieces to the end caps other than molding it in or using an adhesive.

the factory one is bolted in...the end caps are also bolted in...did the spoiler come with the bolts attached...if you look under the deck lid you can see the spaces where you can reach the nuts that would hold it on...the end cap bolts are reached thru the inside of the trunk.....and yes the rear spoiler does wrap over the back of trunk lid...from the factory

I got mine from Gbodyparts and the end caps are hollow underneath. There's no bolt there or any surface to bolt into. Which is why it looks like it needs to be molded in or put on with adhesive. I would greatly appreciate any pics that can shed some light on this detail Sean.

factory spoiler come with studs that go thru deck lid and end caps also have studs...so it sounds it needs adhesive is the rear spoiler hollow...#m make a great adhesive tape.that is designed for greater adhesion...

assume this is the one you got as OEM are in the $400 range

3pc Grand National Rear Spoiler Set

3m # is 06386 and use the adhesion promoter 06396 works great for spoilers

Yes, it is hollow with fiberglass tabs every several inches. They provide screws that have a wood screw end and a machine screw head on the other side. The endcaps are however hollow. My main gripe as well as the body guy, is the fit and finish on it. I expected there to be some filler needed because fiberglass is always a bit wavy. And there was, but the edges are horrible. They're not flat. Some have been sanded at an angle towards the hollow inner area. I've considered not putting it on, because after 30k invested, I'm not gonna compromise the look for a cheap spoiler.

most reproduced parts have some fit and finish issues...bumper fillers are a prime example..if you want I will remove my rear spoiler and give you measurements..again i am guessing this is a t-type or NA regal deck lid

It's a decklid from a N/A regal I got to replace mine that had a nice rust spot on the lip. Check out the pics of it in my other thread.
