directscan computer guru needed

I bought a directscan and no disc(what a surprise)
i went to chuengineering.com and downloaded the 1.52 and burned to a cd type disc(cause i dont have floppy).It keeps saying hardware not found.How do i burn this or cant i.I tried uzipping it and still nothing.HEELP!!!!!

What OS is on your computer...... XP? You can't run DS on anything later than Win 98, NT wont work either.

You need to make a DOS boot disk of some sort, not sure how to do that with a CD.

There a a ton of bootable CD programs out there.. How old is the lappy ?? Can you boot off USB ??? Like Bob said, it wont work on anything newer than win98..My old lappy I made a dual boot 98/win2000 and used a program called BartsPE...google bootable CD and you'll find tons of stuff.. Or buy Bob's PowerLogger and it doesnt matter what OS you have ;)
