Any thoughts to newest problem....

Hey guys,

I managed to get the GN back out this weekend (after replacing the Transmission, converter, and turbo rebuild).

However, something went bad. Jumped on it a couple times to check the trans and everything was going good (felt real strong). One more time, jumped on it at about 40 mph and something didn't feel right so I lift out of it. Noticed the car definitely wasn't running right after that so I limped it home (about a mile at most). Pulled in the drive, popped the hood and noticed it was "popping" out the passenger side breather. Shut it off and found the plug on the back cylinder, passenger side was basically broken in half. I figure I cracked it when working on the car and the only thing that had been holding it together was the plug wire. Replaced the plug and it's still acting the same, in fact, the car doesn't even want to run now. I checked and I do have spark at the cylinder (how strong who knows). After cranking over and over and a few partial starts I pulled the new plug again and it was wet with fuel. I also put a noid light on the cylinder in question (currently) and it seemed to flash as one would expect during cranking.

Anybody have a spare coil/module I could throw on this thing real quick?

I've got a few other things I want to check (compression, cam sensor, etc) but it started to rain on me and I lost my motivation....

Any thoughts are appreciated.......

if it is "popping" out the breather, more than likely it is a head gasket.

Thanks Hoob and Bill......

Bill seems to be on target. No compression at all..... Hoping just a head gasket and nothing more. I'll be pulling the head whenever I manage to get the garage cleaned back up and the car back in. I just got the darn car out and started some garage projects now this. Oh well....Guess it's time to upgraade!

I'll keep you all informed......gotta try and get this thing back together before the Atco track rental in October. Maybe I won't be going to SC in 2 weeks for vacation....I'll just put some sand on the garage floor to capture the fluids!!!
