| East Coast Buick Regionals @ Cecil, 10/07 & 10/08/2005... October 7th & 8th, 2005 Cecil County Dragway, Maryland **PRE-REGISTRATION MUST BE RECIEVED BY SEPTEMBER 30th TO AVOID LATE FEE** -------------------- Download the event flyer and registration form here: http://www.magnabuick.com/2005_buick...nals_cecil.pdf (225kb PDF document) Track info: http://www.cecilcountydragway.com -------------------- Quote from event organizers: "Well, It's just about that time of year once again! ...The East Coast Regional Buick Meet is taking place once again at beautiful Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland. There will be Test and Tune all day on Friday, Oct. 7th. Open to ALL makes, so tell your buddies with the Brand-X cars to bring'em on down. There'll be plenty of room for everyone and an unlimited number of runs! We'll also have a Gambler's Race on Friday for all those who are interested. Saturday, October 8th we will have time trials in the morning, with Buick eliminations in the afternoon, as well as a "Display Only" car show in an area set aside in the pits. ALL cars in eliminations MUST be Buick powered, however, there will be Test and Tune all day on Saturday for Non-Buicks, so if your Brand-X buddies want to stick around for Saturday to make more time runs, they are welcome to do so, so long as they realize they will be run in between Buick runs, as time allows. Folks, this is THE event to attend if you want to clock your best-ever numbers. Cecil County Dragway is virtually AT sea level and the track prep is second to none! I hope to see you all there. __________________ Doug Hecker" -------------------- Hope to see you all there! -Banning.

Guys... DON'T FORGET THAT THE REGISTRATION MUST BE IN THEIR HANDS BY THE 30th OF SEPTEMBER, (that's THIS month) or you will have to pay the $50 at the gate. This event is a lot of fun. It only happens once a year. Get your registration in on time, or suck it up and pay the money when you get there. I don't want to hear anyone bitching about not being able to race 'cause it costs too much! (P.S. Keep this thread on topic) -Banning.

Banning, Do you know how late the Friday Test & Tune goes ? I am taking half a day and would not get there until around 2:30, but it looks like Friday night turns into open grudge racing around 5:00. Am I reading that correctly ? Otherwise I will just show up for Saturday morning.. Yes Matt, you better believe it. I intend to be there. I may be bringing a surprise car for you guys. EDIT - I called one of the contacts on this event, the T & T ends around 4:00pm Friday so I will probably just come down Saturday morning. Thanks, Joe

I should be able to make this event! If we're just spectating, it's $10.. don't have to buy spectators tix in advanced. Also, says spectator's can show their car with just spectator's fee. I read that right?

Curt, you may want to look into that Atco track rental. I was going to do that but turns out I'm taking a trip that weekend. Anyone know of any more track rentals or opportunities for newbies to play before the end of the year?
