Fall Track Rental @ MIR 10/31/05

Guys,
I'm posting this for Bobby Mason. They had a track rental at MIR this time last year that went well, and they are doing it again. Here's the info...

-----------

Date - Monday, October 31st
Place - MIR
Time - 9am - 5pm
Cost - $100 per car / ZERO $$ to watch
Details - We have both lanes (GRUDGE runs). We're grilling out and we're asking that EVERYONE contribute "to the cause" by bringing something (burgers, dogs, buns, 6-pack of sodas, etc.).

We'll also have people there that are in the "High Performance" field. I'll let them decide if they want to present themselves as vendors that day or not. I know some of these guys just want to go to the track and have a peaceful day too.

Like before, this in not a money making event. This is a way for us to get away from work and out of the shop/office for a day of racing and fun at the track. We will have a variety of cars and a diverse group of people.

thanks / Bobby Mason

I would go and check it out, since I've never been to MIR, but obviously not on a Monday.

"...obviously not..."

What's that supposed to mean? Don't you get any time off where you work?

Mike Z is right, this is going to be a great time. I heard nothing but good things about the rental they had this time last year!

Thanks to Bobby for setting this up... and making the offer open to MAGNA members.

Um.. No, not really. Sorry, I don't exactly work at a place that gives me time off whenever I want. I cant really afford to miss a day of work w/o pay. I get two weeks paid vaca, and I've already used them for this year.

And I had to use my only current sick day a few weeks ago, when I had to go to traffic court. They didnt want to pay me for only a couple hours I would be missing to go to court in the morning. Even though it was for a stupid violation that I got on company time, doing someone elses job as a favor to our d!ckhead service manager, who thought it was funny. So I just called in sick, went to court, and enjoyed the rest of the day off.

And, I have class Monday nights. I'm struggling to finish homework now, just from this week. I've been solo at work all week, since my boss is on vaca, and too insanely busy, with zero slow time to get any done there.

Matt, I'll lend you one of my days off. I only have 17 left for the year.
