Smile Thanks guys

Banning, thanks for posting this for me. I've been spending the last week or so chasing a problem while finding/causing more...you know the drill. This time, it was the crank sensor and wastegate not closing completely.

Anyway, to echo what Banning and others have said, it's usually a great time. We have both lanes, we cook out, and we have fun. This time around, our official cook (Scott Hudson / Turbo2nr) cannot make it. I've arranged to have a dedicated cook for us. This time, we won't have our cook out there trying to run his car and feed us too! Same as before, we're asking that everyone contribute to the group lunch. This has worked very well in the past and we've never run out of food or drinks.

The gates will open at 8:30am and (if you're ready), you can start running at 9:00am. The fuel lane will open uppon our arrival and again around 1:00pm.

If you have any questions, I can be reached at jrrmason@verizon.net. I hope to see you there.

thanks / Bobby

PS - Someone asked why Monday? For the majority of the guys who were doing this in the beginning, it worked better for our schedules. It gave us Saturday and Sunday to get the car ready, plus we could not rent the track on weekends or Fridays. Having it during the week was way too much of a hassle. That's the reason for the Monday date.

Exclamation Car count

Guys:

If any of you are planning to come and have not received an email from me, please drop me a quick line to let me know. I'm trying to get an estimate of how many cars are coming.

thanks / Bobby (jrrmason@verizon.net)

Mike:

I hope nothing happened to car, did it? I was looking forward to seeing you make a few passes. I was going to try to set you and another guy up Monday.

Based on the emails that I've received, we're going to have a pretty good number in attendance.

I'm sorry that you can't make it, but we'll do it again in the spring. You've got plenty of time to get your schedule straight now. Are you going to Atco next month? Email me.

-Bobby

well.. After the runs on Weds night Billy, Jeff and i heard some type of noise in the motor.. So when i got home i pulled the oil.. it didn't look bad but i wanted billy to see it.. Today, Billy ran the car for about 40 minutes and the damn noise did not come back, she was running great.. He dropped the oil and there were still some little flakes in it.. So, Billy is going to pull and re-look at the complete motor.. I'm NOT complaining at all, Billy's standards are really, really high and he knows his GN's.. We should be back together for Atco.. This time boost is going to be 25 psi ...

I think I'll be there for at least part of the day.

Hopefully someone has a helmet that I may borrow- - in case my car actually gets into the 13s? You guys can make fun of me because I'm a newbee...I've owned a GN since '90 and have only been to the track once making a grand total of 1 pass - I know...hard to believe!

See you tomorrow
Matt
