Member list update

The member list has been updated as of yesterday. For those of you who submitted your info and havent seen your name on the list yet. I just havent had the chance to fool with the site lately.

www.magnabuick.com -- Link to the "member list". Or go through the older site.

The new site is slowly in progess. It's a project between Banning and I, and we've both been extremely busy. As soon as we get some spare time (yeah right), we'll throw the rest of it together, or at least start on some other sections. I have to transfer the whole member roster into a new database form eventually too. My mother was nice enough to create a database for me using Lotus. I just have to sit down and enter everyones information.

The new site has a link to the member list for now anyway, as well as the joining information, etc. See if you know any of the 7 new members I've added.

Anyway, thats the news for now concerning the web stuff. We're workin on it! Slowly but surely!

Oh, and Banning.. I guess you can change the quote on the new intro page to say .. "MAGNA is a 100+ member Turbo Buick & Turbo Trans Am car club..."

108 officially registered members.

Ok Collin, all fixed up. I placed you in the list. I try to keep them in the order that people join. Based on the dates of e-mail, I placed you in the list respectively.

Also made a couple other changes in some peoples locations, etc.

I think the starter failed. Either that or my car is trying to piss me off. ANd its doing a good job too. It died twice in two days. Something in the starting circuit isnt cooperating. I'll get it fixed. Now I get to drive the garage dwelling pimp-mobile.

Electra Park Avenues Rule!!

Its official. My car hates me.

Ahh, how much do you want to bet its the fusable links to the starter solenoid. ;)

Why is everyone having that problem now? I had it on the coldest morning of this past winter!

Scott, crawl up under there, look at the wires going to the solenoid. There are little red wires aside from the large hot wire. The thin wires have a weird setup. Two merge into one, and one splits into two wires, or something like that. Make sure there are no bare wires touching each other, or no wires seperated and dangling freely.

It will cause strange electrical conditions, such as no starter, no instrument lights or radio or ignition powered accessories, strangely operating door chime, but the dome light and floor lights will still light and stuff. Thats how mine acted. Didnt make any sense.

I was so baffled that morning, and had to get to work, that I called John Spina (Caspers Elec.) to get some ideas. I thought I had some really major problem at first. I had checked everything that you would normally check like fuses, wires, etc. He mentioned two things, and the first one was right.

Then I bugged the heck out of Steve Kaminski to figure out which wires connected to each other and where. Got it fixed right up, all before the temperature could even climb to 10 degrees.

Matt, my car has changed from the 1984 Grand National listed to a 86 GN. The 84 is currently being scattered around the country, piece by piece....thanks.
