The trans was done by Anderson in August of '03, again by one of the previous owners. I am the third owner of the vehicle and have daily driven the car since I bought it in January '04 until I went away to college in September '05. It then sat until the following summer ('06) and was daily driven again. In the middle of the summer, I bent a push rod and wiped a cam lobe. With the help of a very good friend of mine (a certified BMW technician) we began the task of replacing the cam throughout the next year whenever I was home for break. Last summer ('07) everything was finally put back together with an upgraded roller cam and roller lifters. The reason I'm selling it is simply because it's not practical. I'm 21 years old and have the GN, a 1991 BMW 318is, and a 1926 Cadillac Hearse that I'm building with my father. It pains me to be away at school and not be able to drive my car and have it just sit under a car cover. Throughout my ownership I have never been weary of driving this car anywhere. As stated previously, this car was my daily driver and I took it everywhere. It has been to the beach on in the dead of summer and does not overheat. I used to drive to hockey practice two to three times a week. I put about 10,000 miles on the car while I owned it. Throughout my ownership (besides replacing the cam) I haven't really done much to the car besides drive it. I bought and installed a turbo heat shield, silicone hose kit, and had the heads ported by MAGNA member J. Banning. I added an AUX-input to the head unit the previous owner installed, ran RCA cables under the console and up through the ash tray for a stealth iPod hookup. The interior is beautiful. No rips or tears in any of the seats. The dashboard is cracked and warped from the sun, but that's about it. There are a few things wrong with the car, and I want to be upfront and honest about everything. That said, she's about a 15-footer. There are a few dings and scratches. In the driver's rear quarterpanel, a previous owner had something in the trunk that must have rolled around and hit the inside of the panel. There are a few dents as can be seen in one of the pictures. There are many rock chips on the nose of the car. I had the astroroof seal changed when I first got the car because it was leaking. It actually turned out the drain pipes were pinched behind the front fenders, as a result, the headliner is stained a little bit from water. There is a small square trim piece missing that hides the screw for the leather door pull strap. I have no idea where it went or what happened to it. The speedometer jumps around/vibrates especially when cold. I replaced the speedometer cable with the new GM one-piece unit, but that did not fix the problem. I think the problem lies where the cable meets the transmission itself. I took out the antenna because the motor went bad (who doesn't have a bad antenna motor). The antenna wouldn't fully retract, so I removed it because it was getting bent from my car cover. Two turbo-6 logos are missing from the wheels. The coolant temperature gauge maxes out past 250*, I have not been able to figure out why. The A/C worked before I had to take it apart to replace the cam, all it needs is a recharge to blow ice cold again. I disconnected the wiper motor because it went bad, I bought a used unit, but one of the tabs to hold it in is broken, so I never got around to fixing it. Two door trim pieces fell off, I have them both. My plans were to remove them anyway, but the paint underneath isn't the greatest. The belt tensioner squeaks, another used unit I got off a MAGNA member in a pinch. The bearing is the noisy culprit. All in all, I'd give the car a 7/10. The car is very solid mechanically and I would still drive her anywhere. There are only a few things wrong as I've noted, but none take away from performance. If you're looking for a car to daily drive, restore, or even to build a strip monster, this one's for you. That's pretty much all I can think of, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at gromero007@yahoo.com ...my name is Kyle. Also, I won't be home from school until May 28th. If you want to come look at the car, I'd have to coordinate it with my family, as the car is at my home in NJ and I am attending school in PA. $11,500 or best offer.

| Got boost? | The VDO gauge jumps right to 250+ as soon as the key is turned on, but the Scanmaster has the correct temperature reading because I replaced the temp sensor for the ECM. I don't remember the numbers off the top of my head, especially since I haven't driven the car in quite a while. The head gasket is not blown.

| Got boost? | I'm pretty sure the cruise works, that's something I can check the next time I go home...I never use cruise, I hate it. I would most certainly be willing to get the A/C charged if someone from Orlando was considering driving it home. ![]()
