Cool 1987 Limited T

1987 Limited T hardtop. 71,000 miles. Dark grey w/grey cloth interior and chrome package. Nice sleeper look. Its been repainted by a previous owner, has a nice shine to it. The pass. door has some rust on the inside lip. The rear quarters are in great shape. The car is basically stock, stock turbo, injectors and downpipe. It has a factory catalytic converter - which is gutted. It just passed NJ state inspection with no problems. It has an old school gsca single muffler cat back with the stainless tips.

Options the car has that i can think of:
power drivers seat
power locks
power windows
tilt
cruise
lighted pass. visor
rear defog
power antenna

Does not have the factory G80 posi, but previous owner installed an Eaton posi, I took the rear cover off to make sure and its definately in there.

Add ons:
Carpeted trunk kit, all black with no lettering, the trunk lid cover needs to be glued/velcro'd back on.
oil, water and boost gauges - autometer ultralites. Two on the pillar and one under the radio, kinda wedged by the ashtray braket, with the column shift there's no console.
Car came with a Kenne-bell chip, currently i put an old red armstrong chip that i had laying around.

Interior is very nice but not perfect. Column shift with the cloth plush pillow seats. Previous owner had told me that he beleived that it was a non-smokers car, but there appears to be a couple
small cig burns on the seats that have been filled in. Also, the carpet has either a wear spot or burn spot right on the tranny hump, about half an inch in diameter. It has that super plush limited carpet.

Car runs good. Previous owner converted the brakes to vaccum, the front and rear brakes look brand new including rotors and drums. Tranny shifts really nice.

I think i'm the 3rd or 4th owner. I bought the car 5 months ago. My original plan was to keep this car and sell my 87 Rosewood T that has 124k miles and some rust, but i've owned the rosewood T for about 8 years now and dont have the heart to sell it, so unfortunately the Limited has to go. I have a 100 mile round trip commute to work everyday so i really need something more reasonable for everyday, especially with the cold weather coming.

I'll try and attach some pics of the Limited to this post, if you'd like to see more pictures let me know. Any further questions feel free to email me at tomx@optonline.net

Bottom line on the price is $7,500. Serious inquiries only please.

thanks

Could you please send more pics to jeepster1220@hotmail.com ?

I'll tell you straight out though that I can only go to $6,500. It's all I have left out of selling my Jeep and paying some stuff off . I understand if you ignore me

Tommy,
I can go somewhat better than $6,500... Just had to do some mental bill shuffling. Could you still please send me the pics? Highly interested in the car.

Thanks,
Mark

Tom,
That's my fault for giving a hotmail address. They really stink for getting any attachments, sorry. The link to Yahoo works, and the car looks to be in nice shape.
Couple questions; that lower chrome trim on the doors, is that a typical limited option, or did the previous owner do that when he had it painted? Did the car pass emissions with the gutted cat?
Also, where are you located in Jersey? I'm about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh, so at the min. it's about 4.5 hours away. Not a huge concern though.
I can go to $7,000. That's my mental cut-off point for buying any TR at the moment. I can't just abandon my plans to pay a few things off, even though it's tempting.
If it sounds acceptable, let me know, and we can go from there. If not, again, feel free to ignore me, lol.

Mark,

I'm pretty sure that the lower trim was standard for Limited's with the chrome package and factory installed. The car passed inspection with the gutted cat and with the stock chip which goes with the car. I live just outside of Englishtown, NJ. A few years ago i took a trip to pgh and it took right around 5 hours. Thanks for the offer, give me a day or two to think it over, i'll email you. Any other questions feel free to email me.

Rob, thanks!

Tom,
The car ran perfectly the whole way back, about 320 some miles.... Nothing like a 13 hour round trip, lol. Only thing I noticed is the power steering whines a little off and on, and there are a few drips underneath it after sitting onvernight. I'll sort this stuff out later. Oh, yesterday, 80 feet worth of black stripes proved that the posi is in there. And I let off early because I didn't want to kill the tires, lol
Sorry about the hour long hold-up at the DMV... Remind me to smack my insurance agent ;)

Thanks,
Mark
