| Turbo Flutter AND BOV too After installing the PTE Front Mount to the car, I start to hear the flutter noise from the turbo which I notice on other people's Grand National. But, this is the confusion When I go alittle bit or half the throttle, I get the flutter noise. If I go Full Throttle for a couple seconds and let off, It gives the Blow Off Valve sound instead of a flutter. I checked all hose connection but found nothing loose. 1987 Buick Grand National: Adj. Fuel pressure, Stage 3 turbo, stock injectors, PTE Front Mount, 3" Downpipe, Hooker Exhaust System, stock headers. Even though I was told to replace the injectors for the Front Mount, the stock injectors still seems to work without any problems. ![]() |

| It's called compressor surge, the search feature on this site will be very helpful with regards to it.

| It's not compressor surge. The car runs fine. I'm trying to say that everytime when I go half throttle and let off, it flutters which is common. But when full throttle and let of, it gives a BOV sound like air is leaking out |

| not enough pressure to even open the BOV at half throttle it seems. how much boost are you making? i dont think a BOV would be necessary

It is comp. surge. And it's normal. ![]() Surge isn't a bad thing it happens to us all, nothing to do with the car running good/bad. Don't worry about it. When your "full throttle" there is just more volume of air being stopped when U slam the throttlebody closed, so you will get a loud BOV sound as well as flutter or "surge".

| Resident Idiot | Regardless what it is, get rid of the blow off valve. It simply isn't needed and just complicates things.
