86 grandnational running rich

ok here it goes.

when the car is on idle you can smell a faint gas smell,

when it catches boost aound 10psi the car begins to break up a little bit.

that pretty much it..

my guess is that it can either be too much fuel pressure/ and or not enough spark.

im going to first check the fuel pressure and it thats good im just going to change the coilpack...

if anyone has other input of what the problem could be i would appreciate it.

other than that it runs great.

Are there any modification on the car, scanmaster, fuel rail, oil pressure, coolant, A/F, boost gages, etc.? I would pull the dipstick and smell it, if you smell gas, change the oil and filter. Here is good web site to help get you up to speed Vortex Turbo Buick Performance

bigger turbo, bigger injectors, cam... i think thats all it has.. the thing is is that whenever i floor it it just starts breaking up so i pretty much need to know where to start when it comes to this problem. tuning can be a factor as well?

Do you have a bigger chip to go with the other bigger parts

i dont have a scanmaster, and i probably dont have a chip for the computer. so the reason can be that its breaking up is that it probably not tuned. i just made the jump from jap cars. its totaly different let me tell you, the reason i keep mentioning tuning is because before i tuned my previous car, it would od the same and break up when i would floor it.
