It was my decision, and my decision alone to go ahead and clearance the pipe and drill the exhaust flange holes to get it to fit. Could I have boxed it up and shipped it back and asked for a refund? Yes. It's a very short season up here and I haven't got the time to wait for a refund and get another DP. A gentleman asked if anyone had any experience with a GBODY DP...and I gave him my honest answer. I've had other parts that I've had to tweak to get to fit...and I don't mind that. I had to bend the DP in a full inch to clear the frame and drill the exhaust flange holes to match the exhaust housing holes...I call that excessive.

sounds like a 50-50 proposition...some fit, and some don't. Not very good odds.

I had to drill out the holes in my THDP to get it to fit good, I could get it on without doing this but the one bolt actually started cutting threads into the DP flange, so I decided to drill.

Never tried the GBP DP

I helped a few with fitting ATR and THDP. downpipes. Even the Mease pipe wasn't a perfect fit.

My THDP fit the first time. Went in and didnt touch a thing. The only problem I had was getting the testpipe to fit with the exhaust and DP mounted. Had to pull it and get the testpipe expanded some. Other than that it was a great product. It was the first one I'd ever installed, so maybe that was why the pipes didnt line up.

I guess I just got a lucky pick.

As for the GBP DP, all the ones Ive seen have fit fine. I have heard the puck didnt align up on some, but I've never personally experienced that. I wouldnt hesitate to buy one though. Brian has always treated me right.

ah screw it...these cars are 21 plus years old...between engine mounts...body bushings...exhaust changes...frame twisting...bumps...etc...anytime something fits...I feel lucky....look at all the factors involved.....sometime you get lucky.......as you can tell by this thread...sometime you don't...it's how you handle the situation..look at the problem and figure out if it's your car or the product....
