Best Aftermarket Mufflers for stock 85

I have a 85 GN that is pretty much all stock except for the mufflers and exhaust. I want to replace the mufflers, and was wondering what my best options are? I want the car to sound as much like stock mufflers as possible, but with better performance. I bought the car with aftermarket mufflers, so I dont know what a stock car sounds like. Do they rumble at all like a V8? I have straight back exhaust pipes now. thanks!!!

Hmm I have that muffler on the 86 and it's alittle loud, not bad at 45mph It does get confussed for a V8 at idle

I agree. Have had the Hooker exhaust on all three of my Regals, including my WH-1 and my current 86 GN. Sounds good, not too loud. Nice low rumble at idle. Since I've put my THDP on, the car is a little louder; but has more noticable exhaust tone. No complaints about the Hooker kit.

It is hard to get the best of both worlds! A turbo engine does not like chambered or baffeled mufflers. If you are after performance I would recommend the MAGNAFLOW muffler. If you want it quiet, Tony is right, go with the DYNOMAX SUPER TURBO. If you need any help call me @ (864) 964-9667.
