Single Fan VS Dual Fans

I was thinking about running a dual fan set-up on my 87 GNs. I was told though that a dual fan set-up wouldn't be efficient on our cars and would lead to over-heating. Is this true? Anyone out there running a dual fan set-up on their car?

If you do a quick search you'll find that not to be true, and in most cases the opposite... I've been running the dual fan setup for a couple years now and the difference in temps, especially after a run, is very noticeable
