Where can i find a replacement powermaster motor?

Hey guys, great website here! I'm having a problem locating a motor for my powermaster unit, the one that's on it is shot! All it needs is the motor, so i hate to give up the coin for a completely rebuilt unit. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks!

Thanks! I sent them an e-mail and still haven't heard anything. Are they still in business? Anyone dealt with them lately?

well - As of right now seems like the guy, Hank Terry, from that website, who sells the powermaster motors is leaning toward i'm a liar.

my email to him:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Henry,

I recently ordered a powermaster motor from you a few weeks ago and I just today had time
in my schedule to go to my mechanic to get it installed(BuickTurboPerformance.com his business)
As soon as I handed the motor to him he told me he wont installed it because the plastic housing in which the connector attaches
to seems to have gotten damaged in shipment. It is cracked and loosened from he motor itself. I attached a few photos. Did you have shipping insurance
on this item?

Item Info:
Number stamped into motor is :4265GM/A1
on sticker label: pump asm
5048894
18011279
175 7 0 1

his response so far:

Jay,

We package the units very well and would like to know what the container looks like. The box would have to be junk to damage the motor that serverely.

H.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--Now, saying that the motor was packaged very well is a complete lie, it was in a sealed plastic bag with cardboard wrapped around it. no packing peanuts or any kind of air bags to fill the gaps, that thing could of been bouncing around the entire ride. i responeded to his e-mail. i'll let you guys know what happen next.

Do yourself a favor and convert your brakes to vacuum assist instead of the powermaster. Unless you are entering your Buick in car shows and collecting points based on originality of your brake system there is no reason to be driving around with the powermaster. It's very dangerous and the entire brake system of your car relies on a fuse. They are known to fail all the time and stopping the car with a non working powermaster is almost impossible. At least if you lose vacuum assist you can still get the car stopped.

You can collect most of the parts for the conversion from the junkyard or buy it all as a kit. Install is simple and you'll never have to worry about crashing your Buick because your powermaster failed. Remember, these cars have no airbags and 1980's seat belt technology. Everyone puts some much time and money into making their Buick fast and most of them out there can't stop worth a damn. There are other alternatives out there to replacing the plagued brake system over and over.

I'm sure hundreds of people have not had problems with hank, but so far I did. Nothing is 100% and things break. i'm looking for a man to stand behind his product.. I don't consider the motor being in a bag with a piece of cardboard good packaging. there was nothing in the box to stop it from bouncing around. I package and ship all day everyday for work, and everthing we package we make sure there is no dead space for the product to move around.

If I received a package with a 5lb motor bouncing around I would check it for damage immediately. Your pictures shows damage that Stevie Wonder would have seen. Why did it take the repair shop to point it out?
I also get packages all the time and inspect the contents regardless on how it's packed. I would be suspect if you sent me that email too. Hank is a good guy and been in the Buick community for many years. I'm sure the right approach with Hank can solve your dilemma.

i didn't take it to the repair shop to point out the damage.. i took it there to get installed. My mechanic showed me it was broke. I took the motor out and gave it to the mechanic and he said.. "its broke" i thought he was messing with me and then he pointed it out..

I'm not questioning if hank is a good guy, i'm sure he is. i'm just trying to solve this matter and keeping everyone posted with what is happening. I would hope that he would stand buy his product and work something out with me. Yeah I was stupid for assuming without inspecting that the motor was fine when it arrived, but I rarely have time in my life to use the bathroom, I work 7days a week with a minimum of a 10-12 hour shift, if i'm not asleep i'm at work. I mean, how do you think I feel when I drive an hour to the repair shop on my only day off in a few months and it was a wasted trip.. especially after i had the motor for 2 weeks not knowing about this problem. Yeah i felt like an ass and I felt sick to my stomach knowing that my money has gone to waste because more than likely I'm going to be beat. And I said the same thing to my mechanic. "If I was in Hanks situation I would assume that someone is trying to rip me off too." but he told me to just be honest with him and shoot him an e-mail and see what happens.

I'm not by anymeans trying to flame the guy. I'm just keeping people posted

That sucks about the cracked connector, maybe it happened during shipping? Anyway, somehow i really need to get ahold of one of the motors! Is this the only source to get one? I still haven't gotten a reply to my e-mail and i'm not about to send $160 into the abyss lol!
