When I look at the PL cd in my computer...it shows a PowerLogger folder.

When I double click on that...I find a folder called 2000 and xp, a folder called Win98 and four files. Installation guide.pdf, PLC.exe, PowerLogger Manual 1.0.0, and wsc32.dll.

If you have those two folders and four files....then it would seem like that the actual folder called PowerLogger was omitted...that is not a problem.

If the above is what you see, then go into My Documents, Create a new folder called PowerLogger....then drag the above mentioned comments off the cd and into the PowerLogger folder that you created manually.

I just did this and hooked up to the car for the 1st time! You're right - it was a little confusing as there is no file called "powerlogger" as the directions call for. But copying all the files worked (except win98 folder) as I too have xp!

Bob, how/where are you supposed to hook up the ~4 x 1 blue terminal strip with numbers 1 thru 8? Is this the "connection unit"? I assume its for the LC1 and other inputs I can add? No instructions on installing this that I can find. Do we mount it with the double sided tape anywhere we want, and then run the connection unit cable to the powerlogger unit?

yep....now only to figure out the best place to put it where the terminals are accessible/visible...

Steve, I put it on the center HVAC duct on the drivers side. Nice surface on the black plastic and accessible for small screwdriver when kneeling on the ground with the door open. Also lets the gray cable going to PCM route nicely and stretch out in front (drivers position) of the duct. Also hooked up the LC1 (& XD16) to it there. Can't see it unless your kneeling down looking for it!
