| Coolant Lines to Turbo Would anyone have any pics on how they routed the coolant lines from the heater hoses or from the throttle body hoses to their water cooled turbo? Is there a kit out there or does everyone make their own setup? Thanks. ![]() |

| Using the heater lines is relatively easy and high flow compared to the throttle body lines. Easier than installing the turbo anyways for me. I don't use a turbo shield on either car so if that's an issue you might want to try the Full Throttle kit it's much more compact. Here's a few pics. and a link to the complete folder so you can look at all of them if you want to. Plumb the NPT fittings into the turbo prior to install so you can properly goop them and twist them easily with wrenches to the proper positions. Make sure all the fittings you buy are as small as possible on the outside since you have to twist them into the NPT fittings in the turbo itself. Straight out the back of the turbo to a 3/4" drain hose, front needs the adapters to go right angle upwards then into the hose, off the shelf NAPA hose 4" rise and 1.5' length to rear in 5/8" size. I feed the water downhill with the top hose and uphill drain to T's in the stock heater and drain lines. Pre-heater valve too, mines plastic aftermarket since the factory one died, and slightly relocated, easy to do. Did it this way so the fill always is dumping about 4" of water into the cartridge via gravity feed when shut off, and the drain is uphill so that water will go back down into the cartridge when the car is shut down too. Mike was too busy to take my call, but Maryann was going to send me a pic of the lines they have as it is not on there website. I'd like to stay with the bigger lines, and also keep my turbo cover, and hesitant of using rubber lines so close to the turbo. Want to build for durability and not be worried on long trips. Thinking I may take the return line forward and down, and then wrap over the turbo shield right now... Thanks again. Anyone else have pics? ![]() |

| Mines only been on 3 years now so I'm not so sure how long it will hold up. Longest trip is about 300 miles or so in one day. I am sure you can find a way to do it with the turbo cover as well. Most likely compression 3/8" or 1/2" metal tube (copper or steel), it's rated OD I believe for size, via NPT adapter fittings to the turbo and a heater line T and drain T would also work. Compression to hose barb would also be needed via NPT fittings most likely. It's actually minor fabrication but fittment of whatever you use and mocking it up on the car is necessary to get what you want exactly. |

| Wow! That Full Throttle kit looks great - especially that swivel fitting. Thanks for the pics incubus2432! And the cover would fit too. Full Throttle still didnt' send me pics. Thanks for the link Royal-T-ltd; these look very nice. I saw the G-Body pipes tthorngen, but it's a little steep - over $330. I toyed with the idea of cutting my rad hose and inserting a tube with a welded on fitting, then decided to hit the hardware store today. I wanted at least 3/8". and am almost done dry fitting everything. I sneek out of the house to take work-in-progress pics. |

| The supply will come from the front of the intake manifold (need hose to connect 2 barb fittings). The return will tube (3/8" id) fill feed into the 3/8 pipe tube and be connected to a 5/8" hose running to a tee in the heater hose. (work in progress-may finish after dropping in the engine) Hope the compression fittings and copper tube will hold up. Figure the rubber hose will provide some flex for durability. Most likely would have bought the Full Throttle setup, but wanted to get this this going, and with bigger lines TODAY. Thanks for all your help guys.
