Turbo Applications

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to turbo's and have NO IDEA about different applications or numbers on these things and what they mean.
So..to let you know, I have an '83 Regal T-Type. My brother just scored a turbo from his work. It's a Garrett and it had T18 stamped on it. There is apparently a broken seal in the turbo as it is covered in oil. However I know these things can be rebuilt.
So, OUR questions are:

-Will it work on my 3.8? What mods would I have to make to make it work?
-Would it work on a 4.3 V6? Mods to be made to that one?
-Is there a site that might have different turbos and their applications?

Thanks for any and all info you can give. As always, it's greatly appreciated.

Might be better answered in the "before black" section. Those fellows would have more experience w/the swaps. Yes you can rebuild the turbos, you could check w/some of the venders(check in the venders list, for a discription of what they handle). they can get you started in the right direction.
you can do a search on www.gnttype.org for a lot of tech articles that are of full of good material and knowledge.
