GNX Rims

hey guys, i'm new to the forum and i'm kinda new the whole game. well, to make a long story short, i've bought this GN from a guy here locally. he bought the car from someone in Fl. who had this GN and a GNX. the man wrecked his GNX ( ) and took all the parts off of it and put them on his GN. like seats, rims, decals, and some other stuff. i was wondering how much these rims are worth. they are orginal GNX rims and it has new tires on them too. i was just wondering how much i could get out of these. any help would be great.

I've seen mint ones sell for $2k +
If you sell them online take some pics of the part#s and backspacing#s stamped on the backsides of the wheels to show potential buyers that they are definately GNX wheels and not GTA wheels.

Exactly as Mr. Buick said, A LOT of Baiting and Switching going on with the GTA vs. GNX Wheels, and Visually unless you look at the Stamping and Verify the DIFFERENT Backspacing between the two there is Virtually No Way to tell the Diffeence....You DID Verify the wheels Before you purchased the car..Right?? Betcha your car is sitting on $300 GTA Wheels

Very simple to find out if they are real or just 4 front GTA rims right from buickgnx.com..

The front and rear wheels were custom made for the GNX by JWC. The wheels are actually labeled "Rear Only" and "Front Only". They have specific offsets, which are different than the Grand National. The front wheels are stamped "-15" and the rears "-23", which is in millimeters. Here's a pic of the front:

This has been a topic of discussion, so I measured the total backspacing of the wheels: from the deck of inner hub to the outmost lip. The front is 3-15/16" and the rear is 3-9/16". The difference comes out to approx. 8mm which matches the difference in the offset spec.
Late 80's Trans Am GTA wheels look similar but are not a direct replacement. I don't think any of the aftermarket wheels are correct for the GNX either, because the rear track is wider with the factory wheels. For example, I tried the Classic Industries GTA repro wheels (fronts) and they rubbed my frame on both sides. They measure 4-7/16" backspacing hub to lip. I'll measure Kirban's repro wheels when I get a chance, but I do know they don't rub

best way to find out what they are worth is toss them on ebay , if they are genuine GNX post up pics so bidders know what they are bidding on
,if they aretrue gnx rims then 3k-5k isnt too much to expect for a set . condition being important ,
even if they are only gtas they still have been getting 1000- 1500 on ebay for mint ones that fit the regal (four fronts) and even others rims that look like gnx gta in 16" (though some are way off on the center design and could never be mistaken for gta on closer look ,like the kirbans ) still manage to bring good money on ebay.

with the recent jump in price of rims like centerline telstars being 270 and up ea from summit , a 1000 for four mint gtas seems like a fair price
