I ran the Garret .82 housing to 28psi on the stock turbo for an 11.92. The housing I am referring to is the exhaust housing. In my opinion it's not worth it, unless you are forced to use the stock turbo for some reason.

Here's a question....What it be worth putting on an .82 housing on TA49 that is believed to have a .63 housing currently????

turbine is the exhaust side and the advantage of the .82 is it allows the engine to breath better for top end gains since it is allowing more air to pass the turbine wheel but will require more converter than the .63 , on the stock turbo you can probably get away with it and still have nice spoolup but on the 49 it will need some converter . generally for street cars the .63 is perfered for quicker spoolup , at the track you have the opportunity to prespool a little at the line and may be able to take advantage of the larger housing, ive run the TA49 and the TE44 with the .82 and a 2800 10.5 converter and spoolup was nearly instant as for mod the entire unit can be bored out and brought up to a TA62 but at a hefty expense and then will require a higher converter stall to make it spool quick , think i covered both of you guys

Yup, Mikey is putting it in sometime next week. What should I expect to pay for a .82 housing? Anyone have an .82 housing they want to get rid off??? I'll probably post a WTB ad in the for sale section.
