Buying turbo engines from mass producers (jaspers, grooms, atk etc.)is a crap shoot. You never know how it will turn out.I've heard of good and bad experiences from all of those builders.I got lucky and got a good one from atk back in '99 for around $1700 w/no core.It now has 30k miles and is still running strong. It's in my driver with a mild combo TA49,alky,etc. and runs 11.7s.
The only specs I know about my engine is it has a 10/10 turbo crank(I checked) and .30 over hyper pistons.I have no idea what cam it came with.Although I've had good luck with mine if I was going to do it again I'd have a good Buick engine builder build it to my specs. The reason being, the odds of me getting another good cheap remanned engine are slim.

I am currently running a jaspers class 2 motor in my car, they used the factory block from my car. Its currently .030 over, non sleeved. It runs real strong with a year of abuse. I have put approx. 4500 miles on it sence the build. Again as atated above, mass producers are a crap shoot, and in all actuality if I had to do it again, id take to the motor to an individual who works on these v-6's all the time. Those builders go from a 1980's something truck and then build a turbo motor. Like I said the motor runs strong and I cant complain but its something to think about. Good Luck with what you do.

Cool

I knew someone that purchased a ATK motor for a reasonable price and beat the hell out of it with no problems. At the time it was only 1K with a core charge.

And, go to english grammar and spelling courses and save the rest of us much stress. And, don't say how hateful, spiteful this (or any other) Board may be when we have extreme difficulty in deciphering what your questions/ responses are!!??

We used to have that FastWClass guy. He really was a rocket scientist. I miss him, even though I had no idea what he was talking about 98.5% of the time.
