Question oil pump housing and front timing cover gasket

Are these two gaskets put on dry? No sealent, just gasket?

Install dry! If you use sealant it will leak and worse yet screw up the clearances. Make sure you have the proper clearance in the oil pump. The clearance is adjusted with the different thickness gaskets.

On the timing cover I spray a light coat of "spray tack" to the side of the gasket that goes toward the cover. That way when you take it it apart later on you have an easier time of cleaning the cover than cleaning the block.

i use vasoline to keep it in place, and to pack the gears.

86 grand national 2nd owner t tops, digital dash and few other options. bone stock no mods(yet!!) brought back from the dead. new paint and interior 85 regal t type clone, blue in and out , carb. turbo stock engine , no ecm, msd btm,holley blue fuel pump, 650 holley double pump carb. 3.73 gear with mini spool,all the gauges, stock trans and conv. slow but fun!!

are u supposed to use teflon lube on the oil pump cover bolts for some reason a have a little oil mist around the oil pump cover

Some of the bolts go into water so you have to use sealant on those.
