Post Wow! A Good Cast Roller

I yanked out my POS cast roller expecting the worst. Cam has not started to come apart yet. No metal in the engine. WooHoo. Only had 701 miles on it. Now I'm all strung out trying to find a chain that fits worth a crap. The Dynagear roller set that came with the PTE kit has a 1/4" sloop in it. I need a .005 undersize chain.

Bill,

That "Budget Roller" of yours might be worth something some day seeing as how it's one of a kind. Hard to believe there is one that isn't still on the shelf that is intact. Some people have all the luck.

Maybe you should bronze it for posterity.

Talking

I would have made a mailbox post out of it but it is worth $139 credit from PTE. They can have it back. I don't want the POS.

Shmed,

Is that something like "Speak softly but carry a big camshaft"?

When choosing weapons, I, personally, would choose something a bit more reliable than a cast roller.

Sad, but true....Bill's was showing wear from the roller...had not started to crumble...

Let's be positive about this. He could probably make 2500 quarter mile runs. Obviously we are over reacting to our perceived problems!

I should have used grape jelly on it instead of molylube considering it is made out of peanut butter.

I also think getting beat in the knees with a POS roller cam would still hurt like hell. But after awhile the lobes would go flat.

You got a lot of company.....a bunch of us obviously don't know how to install cams...

Maybe we need one of those "Never Again" Memorials with a list of names on it.
