| I;m trying to take out the test pipe so I could put in the cat. where the clamp goes around the downpipe to test pipe mating area, it looks like my mechanic tightened the clamp too much and there is a mark on the test pipe. ANy suggestions on how i can remove the test pipe myself?

| If you have access to a torch remove the clamp and heat the test pipe until it glowing red, twist the pipe off being carfull not to burn yourself. You gotta go through emission tests there? I took my cat off 5 years ago and threw it into the bush. No tests here.

| Resident Embraer Driver | as a last resort make a slice parelleling the pipe with a die griender and try to seperate the pipe that way, then you can clamp in back together, just a last resort if you dont want to take it in to the shop. | Dont have access to a die grinder either. I'll just bring the car to the shop and have them remove it, put the cat in and do testing all on the same day. Thanks for the help anyways.
