| Junior Member | I have an 87 we-4 with 21,xxx miles. The motor has approx 750 miles on it built to stock specs. I was going to buy another TR to build up for a fast street car, but what the heck I'm going to use my we-4 instead. I have sold my mustang and have 5,000 to use to build up the we-4. I'm looking to you guys for help and information on this. I figure with your help and experience in build ups I could get it right the first time around. The following are the mods done to the car now: TA-49 turbo 009 inj. xp fuel pump hot wire kit 3"thdp w/cut out eaton posi unit stock gears adjustable fuel pressure reg. adjustable wastegate rod Any help would be great.. ------------------ If it's not fast enough turn up the boost!!! 87 WE-4 super clean 21,xxx miles ta-49,009's,thdp 3" and other mods http://www.we-4.com William Bohn ICQ#16425594

So you want a mid-high 11 Car? I would ditch the 009s and go for MSD50s and a TE44. Mid to High 11s should be pretty easy with some tuning and good 60fts. Should run 113-115mph I would think? ------------------ Mike Schoenfeld See My 11.25@121 Run! | |

| Resident Idiot | I guess the most important question is how fast do you want to go? Also, what does it run in it's current form? ------------------ Email Address: mailto:mike@TurboBuicks.commike@TurboBuicks.com</A>

| Resident Idiot | You may want to ask around. I suppose a 49 can go mid 10's, but that would be running it hard. I have no experience there, but that doesn't sound right to me. Has anyone gone mid 10's with a TA-49? (This outta be good). It's also going to depend on how much your car weighs with you in it. I have noticed when calling some vendors, everything is skewed because a lot of them assume we all drive around with no A/C and slicks all the time. Not to mention a full tank of 116... ![]() My point is, do the math on the HP vs. weight of your car, and look at how much HP the turbo can make... Precision is rating a TA-49 at 545HP, so even with a car weighing in under 3500# with driver, it doesn't add up. ------------------ Email Address: mailto:mike@TurboBuicks.commike@TurboBuicks.com</A>
