Question I need some info on power seat assemblies for 86 & 87 years

I picked up a very nice driver's power seat track assembly from what I thought was a 87 Limited (written on the windshield). My 87 GN had the power seat in it but I never looked under the seat too close so I don't know what they come with. I was told the 87's used one motors and 86's used three. This setup has three. I have a few people interested in it but don't know what to tell them about the interchangeability. What works and what doesn't?

I hope to have pictures shortly of the stuff.

I think the 85s had one motor...not sure about the 86s...not sure if I can look under mind and see them or not...I will try to remember to look tomorrow.

First pic is top and second is bottom of a power seat track off an 87.I believe Steve is right about the single motor(with a transmission to operate funtions)on earlier models. The three motor version also has an aluminum upper which will fail under nurmous high PSI launches on slicks. eek! Doh!!! At least thats how my 11/87 built GN is. yup Carter
