ET Update , ET Update, ET Update

Greetings everyone,

I finally made it back to the track yesterday. It was nice and cool in the morning about 50°. I got to the track early and got my first pass in a little after 10 AM. I have Bob Baileys Commander chip (108 +). And I was running C16 fuel and boost set at ~ 20#. Someone one the board suggested I lean out the Fuel spool 4 % & WOT fuel 4%. Which I did and I also turned on the Launch assist.

I also made a circuit up on the TPS so that when I am on the brake building boost, I can have the trottle to the floor and the ECU will think the Trottle is only @ 80 %. So the Launch assist will stay on. And switch back to WOT voltage once the brake is released. (One less thing to do when trying to bracket race, instead of holding the pedal partial WOT).

Anyhow, When I staged my Opponent only prestaged I nailed the trottle and brake I saw him stage and the tree started to come down. But My car was pushing the front tires though the lights, I red lit So I just released the brakes and off I went the run yielded a 1.769 60’ with a 12.252 ET @ 107.81 MPH. It would have been a little lower if I had a better run at the lights, but… (20# boost, 728 O2, 0Knock, 1500 ° EGT)

Second pass (3 hours later, because of breakdowns and oil downs) the temp was up around 75 °, this time I went for reaction time Floored it when the tree started to go down. Much softer launch. That yielded a .027 RT, but only a 12.637 ET @ 105.64 MPH. I also notice the boost had falling off, I believe it is because it was warmer. I am using a Granger style boost control.

First round of the Gambler race I dial a 12.60, I had a bad (late) light, But my opponent red lit, So… on to round two. (This pass, .255 RT, 12.49 ET @ 108.47. The boost had gone up to 22 #, it was cooling off because that this time it was 5:00 PM.

Round two, I was late again on the tree. And lost the round, but it ran a 12.70 @ 108.56 boost was again around 20-22#.

I need a higher stall converter and get use to this car, to get more consistent. But I had fun. Got to meet some old friends and Thank God for a good day.

Sounds good.
I have heard the sweet spot on a 44 is about 25 psi.
