Wink Alcohol injection systems, any thoughts? Thinking of one....

Guys, I was thinking of buying the Jay Carter alcohol injection kit for my GN. Any comments or experiences with these kits? All comments would be appreciated and welcomed. Is it worth it? Does it help reduce detonation at higher boost # as stated? It sounds like a great idea in theory. Thanks.

Brad, I have done some reading on alchy kits and the best one out there is the SMC kit http://www.geocities.com/rad87gn/tech/SteveCkit.html From what I know you should be able to run higher boost with the kit, as much as 23 psi on 93 octane with a race chip and an otherwise stock type setup. I'm not too familiar with the JC setup but if you're gonna spend the money go for SMC.

The alcohol and nitrous section on the "other" board has lots of good information. Chad Schwartz's signature has a link to a lot of information he's pulled together. It edjamacated me reel gud!

I ordered the SMC kit. I determined it was the best deal around, as about 100 others did via the group purchase he ran recently.

Most of the alky info I get is from http://www.geocities.com/rad87gn/tech/alcohol.html Great info on the kits available for the TRs.
