| single 3" exhaust?? tell me what you think. I was going to do my own exhaust system. I was thinking of a single 3" exhaust. 3"downpipe, 3"intermidate pipe, no cat, muffler of my choice or none at all, and a 3" exit. Would this help my performance at all? My stock exhaust looks like 1&3/4 where it splits, and untill the muffler. Then like 2" pipes out. Man these mufflers are wierd. |

| Normal exhaust is 2.5" to the cat and 2.25" back to an above the rear axle muffler...with a few kinks that may be smarter. Some run a 3" pipe....single muffler, etc. as you describe. Some get tired of the sound, others think the more obnoxious/loud, the better. Certainly fine for performance and lighter weight. |

| If you take a peek under a UPS truck you will see what it looks like As you can tell I think they are ugly and sound bad. But if you run in the 10's you may see a difference due do less restriction and weight.
