Stainless Steel brake lines

Hi All,

Has anyone ever changed their brake lines to stainless and if so where did you buy them? Which vendor sells them?

Or would anyone know the part numbers from Russell or Earls that I could order from Summit or Jegs?

Thanks in advance.

I should clarify........I an mot looking for the entire length of brake line but rather the two lines that go to the front brake calipers and the one line above the rear pumpkin then splits off to the two brake lines into the rear calipers.

I am sure I can get the rubber ones at a NAPA but wanna go stainless.

Thanks.

Cool

I used the Russell kit on salvageV6 they worked great.

Glad I did, the rear line had a big slice/gouge in it when we took it off.

Of course that just exposed the weak link, rotted hard line that blew open.

Wish it didn't happen at the track at 111 mph.

Baer kit on the other car comes with it's own new lines.

Salvage,

Happen to have the part number of the lines? Did you do all three or just the rear one?

Remember what Russell got for the kit?

Thanks in advance.

Cool

That's for all 3 hoses.

I think I got mine at Jegs.

Here's a cut and paste from their website.
"799-692100 1979-88 G-Body $71.99 "

Had to use lotsa heat to get the rusty rear one off.

Rich, that's for all three and comes with the new metal seals. I used them on my GN and daughter's T with no problems. Bleed them manually with key off with the PM. I don't like to run the pump any more than necessary on the PM. PS. Use the Dot 4 fluid as it has a much better life and higher boiling point. HTH Gene
