Tall valve covers and H&R motor mounts: cover contact with body on PS-- fixes?

Hi folks,

I'm wondering if anyone has had trouble with tall valve covers (I'm using the TA covers) and H&R motor mounts (both sides) causing the PS valve cover to contact the firewall by heater core? The rear of the PS valve cover is notched for this, but it is still touching in my case.

If so, what did you do about it?

I've had one good suggestion to clearence the shield with a hammer to gain some room, but has anyone else dealt with this?

Thanks!!!
Scott
