Found:Born on date for TR's

Found this on the frame for my 455 Regal. It is a build date found on the frame which unlike the date on your door label also includes a day. I only have found this date code on frames for G-bodies that were assembled on the Pontiac MI assembly line which includes all 84-87 TRs. This particular example came from a 83 carb turbo T-Type and even though I didn't check the date on the door label the date 7-20-82 seems right because this car has the early T-Type emblems on it. It is located on the rear suspension crossmember. It is on the right side where the right upper control arm mounts to the frame and on the axle(rear) side. Just out of curiousity I check all the G-body frames I had access to and found it only is on the Pontiac cars. The date on my 86 GN frame is 2-7-86 and the door label says 2-86 and I found a build sheet in the door which says 0212(2-12-86) so this date is pretty accurate in determining what week your car was assembled on. I haven't been able to decypher the other codes and the 14059167 may be the part number for the frame or the piece of metal that it is stamped on.
This is my first attempt at posting a picture so if it is screwed up go to this link: http://www.msnusers.com/turbofish38/...oto&PhotoID=48

Its facing the rear of the car, you will have to look up in the rear cavity where the crossflow muffler would normally sit. That yellow blury thing in my picture is the upper arm on the right side. It is on the flat surface of the crossmember. Find the heat sheild for the fuel lines and it is in that area.
