Question Oil filler on valve cover.

I have a quick question regarding the oil filler neck on the driver's side valve cover. Was the "filler neck" stock on all Tr's? I have an 87 GN that DOESN't have the "neck", it has a stock looking filler cap that quarter-turns into the valve cover. I've never seen anyone else's TR like this. Did the previous owner change something, or did some come from the factory without the neck part? Not a big deal, just curious....

Thanks..

This link has a pic of what came from the factory.Although this one looks like it's been sitting at the bottom of the ocean for the last 17 years.I'm not the seller,I just happened see it while browsing.

Yeah, my valve cover is "keyed" so that the cap turns and locks, that neck wouldn't even fit in it. The covers are not aftermarket-looking at all, I wonder what the deal is??

The filler neck in the picture should lock in place. It looks like the locking tabs are rusted off.Don't buy it.

Oh, ok, so the previous owner of my car must have removed the neck, and replaced it with the cap I have...which looks fine, I have no interest in getting the factory neck.. I was just curious because I had never seen a TR with the set up mine has...

thanks guys..
