| I can't say that I've worked with any yet, (TA block) not sure I'm really comfortable with them either. Since there has been nothing but hype and little or no actual use of them, I still prefer the BMS stage 2 blocks as a platform. I know they can handle the horse power. I had considered trying an aluminum block but didn't want to be a guinie pig for that kind of money. It would be nice if we could have been given some first hand info and details of any true testing of the block in action, actually being run in a car. It just hasn't happened, have heard conflicting rumors, but thats all. To sum it up, I know I can make 1000 to 1200 hp with a S2 block and live. If your interested in that level of performance, I know what I would suggest...... ![]() |

| Damn Jack, could'nt you have waited till I sold the one I have on the shelf!!!!! I am pretty confident they will hold up, construction and casting looks as good or better than any aluminum race block I have ever seen. They are very expensive, however, they may one day be the only option as the BMS blocks are slowly being depleted. For that reason alone you have to commend T/A for stepping up to the plate.Nobody has one running yet that I know of, I am anxious to see how things work out. If anyone wants to try it out, I know where one can be had and built to your liking!!!!!!!!!! ![]()

| I must be doing something wrong. I am sure that I should have about four 8 second cars out in the shop for the money I have spent over the years.....on cars, that is. Wives are another category. ![]() |

| 8 sec. Car is scary to watch in a TR Body. I remember Delisandro's car crashing and totaling the car! Others too! That speed is truly running on the edge in a G-Body. Duttweiller put his GN's drive train in a F-Body and ran in the high 6's. I remember reading about the GNXs running over 150 mph and the rear end gets light and leaves the ground. I remember seeing a twin turbo car that cost $110K to build, all the expensive parts of course. A NHRA Legal Car of course costs a lot more money and yes the GS Nats allows car to run that are un-safe, even the TSM Class! A tube chassis, 4-link rear suspension, a legal roll bar, all the other safety stuff would be required, like a Pro-stock wing. That 8.5" Rear End will break for sure. Our local guy, Jack P.'s yellow car was built in a chassis shop and ran straight and true. Engines, that's another thing, BMS S2 Block are getting rare, that's for sure. Buddy Ingersol ran an Indy Block in his 7 sec car. I like those BMS cranks though, hoping to find one for my TA Engine, gun drilled rod journals, etc. (saw one in Pete B. old cars engine, that saw 40# of boost, no damage to the rods or crank and even the thrust side of the rod bearing, thats strength. I plan on spending about $15k on my TA Motor, another $7K on the car as mine will be fully streetable, and not a 8 sec car, with all the factory comforts working and my wife wants to grocery shop in it! He He (The Cold Weather is getting to me.) Gene PS. I'm going slow on my TA Engine so as not to be a TEST PILOT on these ENGINES. |

| Richie Kibler makes some of the "smoothest" 8-sec runs I've ever seen. Jack Cotton makes it "look" easy, too. Any one have the 2 or 3 vids of Richie's runs? One vid uses an in-car cam, giving you an "over-the-shoulder" view of a 5.57 eighth-mile run. Have instant-replayed it 20-30 times in one sitting! I can't watch them anymore, because every time I do, our car just seems slower & slower. ![]()
