| Grim | I swear I started things early enough to make it to nationals! Dropping off the block before January I thought I'd be WAY good. Sorry to say I missed the Nats Yet again. ![]() Things so far are looking good. Got the block and parts back from Webber Racing and it all looks good so far. The heads had some more issues in different spots so they are back down at Champion getting repaired and setup for the roller cam. They will come back next week. I'm planning on putting the bottom end together this weekend and getting the engine and trans set down in and stuff ready for the heads to get here. Then it's a matter of a few hrs mounting up the heads and re-installing intake ect. I'll get pic's of everything together and running in the next couple weeks. ![]() New Build: and or changed parts: 109 Block Stroker crank,K1 rods,Girdle,Roller cam, Stall converter was changed (stalled too low) 2400rpm Coated DP,HEaders Tubular K member,controll arms,Coil over conversion.(85lbs lighter) Electric PCV System. FAST System upgrade for Sequential injection. (Hey.. gas is 200.00 a gallon) Few other little things. Hope it all makes for a longer lasting more powerfull engine and a better matched setup. | Grim | Update: Got the heads back from Champion.. they did a great job of repairing them at MORE than a fair price. THANK YOU! The PA Racing K-member fit perfect. They did a great job of keeping the engine exactly where I'd put the mounts on the stock K-Member.Thank You! I've been through the first few hundred miles so far and all the machiene work that Webber did seems to be good. THanks to them also! I sent the FAST system out to get it upgraded to sequential instead of batch fire. We are having no wideband feed back right now. I borrowed a buddy's batch box for now. I think I have to send mine back with the Wideband to get it repaired. ![]() I'll get it dialed in with the batch box for now and then re-tune when mine returns from repair. I think the converter being restalled by "Pro-Torque" seems to be much better (looser) than last year. I've not been WOT yet and just built 8-10psi a few times and kept it under 5000rpm. I'll have some more information soon as I get it tuned to where I'm comfortable and can get it to the track. ~Scott

| Grim | Went to US131 Friday night for some shake down passes. First full pass 1.68 60' 6.94@103mph 1/8mi 10.70@131.17mph 1/4mi With 93oct. pump gas in the tank, 16lbs of boost on a Drag Radial. ~Scott

| Grim | Went to the Midwest Buick Challange this Past Saturday... very hot and humid day. Still managed to pull off a personal best with the same basic tuneup I've been driving it with for the last 2000mi on the street. Went 1.61 60' leaving with 10lbs of boost on the foot brake. Front tires stood still for the first 10-15ft or so ![]() Went 10.66@130.87mph Still on 93oct pump gas and 16-17psi boost It seems to vary about one LB once it's at 6000rpm and then drops back down on the shift when the RPM's drop. I was the only Hybrid there with a GN engine. Wish more Hybrids would show up... I kinda feel like a Freak at these events ![]() ~Scott |
