New shoes for the RX!

I took her out of winter storage and bought her some new shoes.

I had to roll the front fenders and use a 1/4" spacer to get them almost flush. PITA! I'm going so swap my 4 piston calipers for single piston calipers and ditch the 1/4" spacer soon.

I like the pro-stars look. Going to keep my old rear drag lites and have some 28X10 slicks mounted on them. Should do pretty well with the slicks and t-brake! Can't wait till march for the race season!

Thumbs up

That RX-7 just took my breath away with those rims!!! Those are my favourite rims for drag cars, I have a set on GN #1 and I am in the process of getting another set for GN #2.

Great pics, thanks for posting!!!

You are NOT getting his last Budweiser.

And VXTurb I have to say who ever you've hired to be your Car Appearance Consulter is doing tremendous work with you. First they got rid of that Gawd Awful HOOD and now the wheels. My hat is off to them.

I'll make sure to let "them" know that they finally have achieved the "Zap Seal Of Approval" we'd been working so hard for!

Nothing wrong with a .25" spacer on the front as long as you have sufficient threads on the stud for the nut. I would not sacrifice brakes for a better wheel fitment.

Just curious...what 4 piston calipers are you using now?

Tiny update.

The 4 piston calipers clear with a slightly larger than 1/4" spacer. Not even sure what size it was I found them at a friends house. I did end up rolling the fenders to get the wheels close to flush. I'm happy with it. Also I didn't have to sacrifice the 4 piston calipers!
