Any specs as far as rear, suspension, steering, etc. ?

I want to get all the available parts off of my donor before I scrap it out.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Question was not directed at me, but I will answer:

1. You will not be able to use much in the way of suspension parts from the GN. A-bodys are different.

2. Several people have made the rear work. (not me -I did not have one) It will be about an inch narrower than stock GN but you can always fill up that inch w/larger wheels/tires.

3.You will need a fuel tank/pump/lines that work with are compatible w/FI. If they are in good shape you may be able to fit the GN parts. (again - I did not have these parts -so I went a different route ($$)

4. I would take anything to do with AC and Power steering if you are going to try and make that work. In this case I had the parts but kept all of it off to keep my engine compartment nice and clean. Manual steering and opening windows is fine with me.

5. Most Important and most obvious is all GN electronics, sensors, fuses, wiring, etc. ect.

If I had the luxury of a donor car , I think I would have kept the entire car for the duration of the swap so that I would not forget where anything went and could always refer to the original. Plus you never know what misc interior pieces or emblems can be used just to give the hybrid car some subtle GN touches. Since it looks like you have another GN to use as reference - you will be fine in this respect.
-Good Luck

Anyone know who this is and how to get in contact with him? I sent a PM a couple weeks ago but got no response...

I noticed he used the GN interior as well..., I'd really like to find out more about the car and some of the mods..

Thanks.

87 GN Rear in a 64 Skylark(or other A Body)?

I know this is do-able with some minor adjustments. I have heard the UCA's need to be fab'd or adjustable ones used.

Would anyone that has done the swap be willing to kick down the UCA specs or dimensions, adjustable or otherwise?

I'm at the point where I need to make the swap and was hoping for some solid info before I end up with two non-rolling chassis beside the garage....

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I've got an A body rear here in Texas if you're interested. It's out of a 72 (?) skylark (8.8) and I have a posi for it. Send me a note if interested.

I was plannng to use the existing GN posi rear that I have...

I know there's a couple folks that have done it with just using adjustable UCA's. I was hoping some of them would chime in and offer some specs.

If I end up passing on the rear I have, I'll drop you a line.

Thanks.
