| Hey everyone, I have a 92 Camaro RS with the 3.1 liter Multiport Fuel injected V6 engine and I have been having a heck of a time trying to find performance parts for that particular engine. I have always loved the Grand National and came across this site in my search for parts. I am just wondering if anyone has swapped the GN engine with this 3.1 liter V6 and how easily it swaps. I would really love to put the GN powerplant under the hood instead of upgrading to a V8. Any suggestions/hints/guidance would be very much appreciated. Also if anyone has any other ideas, I would be very grateful. Thank you very much John |

| Hey everyone, I have read up on this type of swap on this board and on TurboBuick.com and have gotten a lot of valuable info. I am still in a great need for help on the subject. If anyone knows anything about this type of swap or knows someone who has done it recently, I would absolutely appreciate the help ... especially because I am very new to anything mechanical like this. Thanks John |

| Grim | Thanks for the referal Denis! When swaping the 3.8L into your Camaro you will need a complete drive train from a Turbo Regal. Stock headers will work fine. HR partsNStuff Motor mounts for a GN I can help you with the wiring to mate the stock GN harness to the stock Camaro harness. A custom Down Pipe will have to be made. Don't skimp there! Go Big. We use the South Side Machiene Lift Bars for rear susp. And Frame Connectors. Your GN power steering pump connects to the stock Camaro steering box. Your existing fuel system will work with the addition of a Warboro 340 or simialr pump installed in the tank. The trans crossmember will need to be custom made.. I build a tubular version. You'll proably have to eliminate the torque arm (SSM lift bars do this.) no way to attatch with 2004r trans. There's alot of other little things but you can e-mail me any time and I'll help you through it. The white 86 Camaro went 10.92@122mph this year and the Blue 89 went 11.61@117mph Both stock block, crank, rods and headers. A serious budjet build would still turn 11's or 12s. It's a great swap (Lots of room to work on them in the car)and both have great street drivability. Mail or call anytime... ~Scott Klepinger. ------------------ Have you had your cup of boost today?
