1972 Datsun 240Z w/ Buick Turbo V6

I'm in the process of getting a 72 Z car, and was wondering what would be a different swap besides what everyone does, SBC. I'm thinking if a SBC will fit in the bay, then a Buick V6 should, and the rest can be worked out.

Moses,

WELCOME!!! If you are considering doing a GNZ, you have come to the right place. In addition to my old web site (and it is way out of date) this post listed below is a good place to start and also try doing a search in this forum.

So You Want a 3.8 Turbo Z Car. (Long, I mean really long)

This might be a turbo-Buick forum but I also recommend looking into an LSx swap. The LSx is not your run of the mill SBC and makes one sweet drivetrain for a hybrid.

Cannot resist showing these pics. Look at how the engine bay swallows that engine. BTW, put some shades on to protect your eyes before clicking on the links

That is my buddy Mike (402/LS2/FD) here in NorCal doing the LS2/GTO conversion into a buddy's Z car. He is a wiring master and very knowledgeable about the LSx engine.

When I saw the pics of that red Z I could barely believe my eyes. It looks incredibly clean.
