Cayuga Friday

I will be going down to the track Friday thanks to last weeks attempt being a scratch for me. I'm leaving Newmarket at 5pm to make it for 7-7:30 depending on traffic. TnT is $20, gunna go with a buddy and his friend running a 2003 Impala SS Supercharged w/NOS. Should be interesting...the guy runs 13's on motor alone which isn't bad for one of those cars.
Either way, hope to see one of you guys there....if not, I'll post the 4-1-1 when I get back. Hope I get the chance to pick up an 02 sensor before I go or no race gas for me. Last trip out, gonna push the car that little bit more.

WOW guys, the track was just disgusting....and I kind of regret even going.

For one thing, they had just one lane open due to unsafe conditions in the right lane all night which did not help the ridiculous congestion. The place was pretty rammed with cars.

Secondly, traction was a very serious issue out there today. The car could not hook during my launches at all both with the DR's and the street tires. This went for everyone; there was a mustang the went left through 1st, right through 2nd and then was in the right lane by 4th gear. Mid-track was washy at best...unsafe conditions made me pack it in after 3 passes.

Didn't waste my time buying race gas considering there was no traction and that would not have helped anything.

There was a bunch of vipers, vettes, a group of AMG benz's (may be back tomorrow), a Porsche Turbo, etc...there was money there tonight for sure.

Jordan,

Sorry to hear that conditions were not good at the track. Are you done for the year, or are you going to try again??

Good luck,

A car leaked oil, then a new corvette almost hit the wall. Then they closed the lane. You shold go I think next week, They have a Can Am deal going on. They save the vht or what they have left for the last event.

I have been to many tracks with the pro mod(US and Canada), I still think TMP and Grand bend are the top two in my books.

I was fairly surprised to have those conditions at TMP, they usually prep that track fairly well. Maybe I will just end up going next weekend.
