I was referring to using a "mailbox" type service.
I have heard there is one in N Falls (US) that accepts large pkgs.(more of a warehouse I suppose)
Intra-US shipping can be cheap or free.
For someone in the extreme west end the drive to the border for pickup is not SO painful.

Good info. The guys close to the border could definately benefit from that.

check out a place called Can-am mail box rental in niagara falls N.Y. they rent p.o. office box's BUT call them suites so everyone will deliver to them. think it's $84.24 a year or i think you pay a cost for a one -time use.

google them .. but the number is 716-284-6245 jim /bob.

i have not used ,but i know a few guys who love them . the problem can be getting all the new parts across the border , or you could install them in parking lot somewhere before crossing ?

Jegs ships FedEx to Canada even better/faster/same handling brokerage fee's than USPS/Canada Post .

Only a problem if you object to paying GST+PST which is all you pay on personal items.

-under the old autopact they would have been exempt

shipping by ups

You can ship by UPS in the states and have it dropped at the UPS outlet near the border and pick it up there. In Port Huron they will call you were and you have a week to pick it up....Jegs ships free so have it sent to Ups and pick it up there.

Interesting, was it a low value item?
I don't have a handle on Fedex Ground. Not a good rep from what I have heard.

Fedex Intl Priority is 1 day and includes brokerage so its not as expensive as it first appears. No surprises.
