I'm gonna order from Summit...they ship USPS. We can split the shipping. Find out if Tim wants in too and let me know. We can save even more $$$ on shipping.

Are the aluminum drums any good and worth turning? I'm gonna get some slotted drilled rotors, oversized calipers and cheap junk in the back since that is all you can really get for drums.

The mechanic says there's still meat on them to turn...but he says it requires a special bit for turning them. All I can tell you Phil is that I had absolutely NO brake pedal pulsation with them on my car. I'd prefer them being turned BEFORE they're installed on your car. Norbs says the aluminum drums have a steel sleeve...so I can't see a problem turning them.

Sounds good, add that to the pile with the knock gauge and NL valve. I'll get the drums turned as soon as I get them, I can probably find a place around Toronto to do it for cheap. Any idea what the best rear brake shoes are? Oxymoron I know...

The cheapest. You want the softest for holding more boost on the line. You can get REALLY stupid like me. S-10 wheel cylinders and all long shoes on the rear. There's one member on the board here that removed the proportioning valve.

As far as the knock gauge goes I would recommend that you go with a the audible knock indicator over the gauge if it has to be one or the other due to the delay that you get with the gauge. Just my .02 of advice....I wouldn't feel safe without mine.

I was scanning ebay and found these on there...maybe they're something to consider while you are doing your drums.

I'm not recommending those to anyone...I do use them myself though. Get in a panic situation and the back end of the car will come around on you...ask me how I know.

This is the first year I can say the car is getting nothing. It goes under the cover and gets pulled out in the spring It might see a splash of wax if I feel generous.

the limited is getting some disassembly for some body work, and for a floor to be put in, have the posi rear-end put in, aaaaannnd.....finally install the alchy kit, injectors, walboro I bought like 2 years ago....hot wire kit, and move my gauges, rear seat braces...and a few other things I can't remember.

I just know the attic is getting full of the stuff I'm collecting and not quite installing.

I don't need a lot, Just the convertor and I may do a tranny.
I Saw the Ice drags up north and I thought it might be fun.

Although you blow a tire it's messy with all those studs...

Not sure what you mean Dave. JEGS won't ship USPS up here...so I order from SUMMIT...they will. If you have it shipped via UPS you get raped at the door when the Brown truck arrives.
