Buddys Camaro paint getting polished.

I thought I'd post this . Buddies "67 Camaro getting wet sanded and polished . Costing him $900 for this alone .The person doing it is all that he does , mostly on high end custom jobs . Guy spends about 40hrs on it first with 1500 grid to smouth out the paint surface and then 6 different polishes to buff it out .you can see the table in the pic with a bunch of different 3M polishes sitting on it ) Paint should look real nice when that's finished . Check out the GN in the background .I was told it has a Stage engine in it .my buddy peeled back the plastic just to put in in the pic so I could see it . the shop is on O'Connor/Vic Park area called Champion Auto Body . they did the body and paint of the Camaro at Performance world according to my friend . and the same guy who owns the car is doing his engine (383 Stroker w/ Tremec TKO 5 speed manual , 3.73 Auburn posi). From what I understand that Camaro belongs to the guy who owns Redline Racing Automotive on Sheppard Ave Scar . when all said and done the bill will be in the $45,000-$50,000+ for the complete Resto .wheels and rubber he's putting on are like something stupid $5000+ alone . He's owned the car since he was 18 , his father bought it for him . father was diagnois with cancer so he felt he'd get the car done to pay sort of a tribute to him before any chance of him passing away . pretty cool .I like the colour . I had 454 cu/in "72 Vet painted almost the exact same colour . really looks good in the summer daylight . and has a dark blue/black flip flop look to it in the shade and at nite . he's not very mechanically incline , so I know who'll be turning wrenches on it and taking it out on alot of test drives .

I'll post pics when it's finished .

Thats Rob Ing's car. Yes he is part owner of Champion Autobody. His car has run 10.00 @ 138mph with a 4.1 Stage1 motor. Robby is a good buddy of mine. He has painted a couple cars for me too. He also has a twin turbo 2004 Z06(with a stroker motor) that Wade has built for him that should make huge power. Look out for that on the streets this summer.

and Wade is from Redline ? I know there is some connection there because that's where (Champion) the Camaro was send after "Redline" did the disassemble and the mechanical work . Anyways the guys at Redline are telling my buddy that his Camaro car will do 11's with the engine combo they are putting in it . I told him I'll believe that when I see it .

Wade was with Agostino's, then went on his own. Eric owns Redline. That Camaro is Eric's. If he said it would run 11's, then it would run 11's. Eric also a Alcohol dragster that runs in the 6's so he definately knows his stuff.

I'll have to drag him out to the track , or I'll have to come up with some lame excuse to borrow his car for the day . .he lives 2 doors down from me and works for a large leaseing company and wheels n deals buys and sells on the side . always has and drives nice cars (Vets , Hummers, Caddys, BMW's etc) in his driveway. wanting to know if I want to take them for a test drives .

next door came home with his 67 Camaro from Redline Automotive tonite . 7 months later and $60,000+ it looks REAL COOL . I'll post a few pictures this weekend of it . He was like a nervous little girl around it LOL. I heard it coming from 3 blocks away , sounds wild with 3" dual exhaust , Hooker Headers and 2 chamber Flowmasters . anyways for you guys who know Eric from Redline he has a new venture that will most likely make him millions of dollars if it goes thru . he has developed a 100% emission free cat . My buddy is ready to throw even more money at him to invest in this new project .

you can check it out at www.gesi.ca

I could probably sell boat loads of those.

The customer base in my lift-truck business is mostly green-house operations that would kill for zero emmissions.

Please keep us updated if you hear any more.

Thanks Tim.

Mike best to contact him yourself . I know from what I was told and have read that he already has a "test operation" with the City Of Vaughan . I recently met Eric and his family a few weeks ago at my buddies . he's a pretty cool guy and very approachable . I'm sure he can fill you in better than I . According to my buddy who arranged a meeting with a friend of his who is a business loans person for a large bank . The 3 of them including Eric sat down. and I've been told the bank has made available $30 million ready to invest in this project .

IMO you should consider if you can set yourself up as a sole dist of the Cat to green house operators, you already have a foot in the door so to speak . it seems to be on the ground level of starting up maybe a good time for you to get on board .

as promised , next doors newly done 67 Camaro . Appraised at $85,000 . Love the car not to crazy about the rims . looks a little "pimp" for me , but I'm old school . . just put on the Dyno yesterday came in a 465 HP at the rear w/ 475 lbs torque . can't wait to test drive it .you have to hear this thing , it's one of the nicest Chevy SB I've ever heard .The suspension set up is right out of a Hot Rot mag dream car with 4 wheel disc Baer brakes ,vented rotors, Tubular upper and lower control arms , and Hotchkins front and rear bars , etc,etc .
