| Okay, So I am finally going to get a digital camera. I have settled on a Canon S45 (4.0mp, 0-3min video w/ sound, compact flash memory...), and a 256mb (minimum) memory card. And I am looking for places other than FutureShop, BestBuy (FutureShop) and 2001 Audio Video to buy from. If you have a friend, or know of a good retailer who can deal me this camera please let me know their name and number. I'd like to purchase this in the next week or so. Thanks,

| JUST BOUGHT THIS: http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/s50-45/ I'm really diggin' the 3min movies w/ sound... great for the track. $821 CDN for the S50 ($630) and a 256mb ($83) CF Card. Free shipping. I got it from TigerDirect.ca This was by far the cheapest I have seen this camera, in fact it was only $30 more than the S45 I was looking at (for over a year) Hmm... brand new model, 5.0mp vs. 4.0, same features, no gay silver case, in Canada meaning no brokerage and duty fees, etc. Sold! I should have it in a few days. Thank you student loans and part time job. wink

| I bought the Canon A70 (3.2mega pixels)in September. This Camera is priced middle of the road yet still has all the features of higher end cameras, I can also shoot vidio and audio, and 11 other shooting modes. It also comes with an adapter wire to hook it right up to your T.V and also for your computer which I'm sure the one you are looking at also has. I'm certainly no expert but a 2.0 mega pixel camera is the same as a 35mm camera, So unless you plan on taking a lot of pictures and making them into giant posters anything 2.0-3.2 will suffice. Make sure you get Ni-MH Batteries for your Camera ,mine are from Sunpak, I've taken a lot of pictures and only recharged them twice. Cannon alos comes with some cool programs to do great things like Make calenders with your car in it.I'm very happy with Canon Dale

| Thanks for the comments, Dale. Actually, I am a designer (aka artist) and most of my work ends up being presented in a 2'x3' manner or larger... for me, bigger is better. Granted, this camera is a touch overkill. But you only live once, right.
