Aren't classic status vehicles $100 a year? And do they need an inspection sticker?

Channer your nox readings are good therefore dont worry about your converter,HCs high and co.HC is unburnt fuel or misfire.High HC sometimes means high co sometimes running rich.Change the oil and this will lower HCS lots of raw fuel in GN oil with aftermarket fuel regulators and pumps. You have also changed the plugs and wires this will also help HC.Make sure your o2 is working properly or co will be high running rich.Make sure your chip is stock or use a low timeing chip. With those numbers being so close you shouldnt have a problem passing with some fine tuneing make sure the car is at operating temp, good luck.

david , I have a good spare GNX 02 sensor with about 2 hrs on it . You can give it a try rather than having to buy a new one and take a chance that it may be the problem as hunberto suggested . Let me know just trying to help anyway I can .

I had a 95 Honda Civic in a good state of tune that recently went in for testings . It had a simular problem to yours . Showed a rich condition on the fast idle .everthing else was within passing . as soon as I replaced the o2 all numbers came in with flying colours . Guy that did the test said it was the cat . But , I could not believe that it was . Did a high/low idle voltage check on the o2 sensor ( 3 wire).the o2 showed a 0 voltage reading on the high speed idle . and my suspisions were correct . dealer wanted $300+ for a new o2 sensor . ended up picking one up at one of those import part places for $50 .

HI...

The car has a new O2 sensor (previous owner installed... looks new to me!!). What kind of number should I see on my scanmaster/turbolink. From what I recall... it now flucuates between 200-750 on my scanmaster.

When I did change the oil... the oil was very runny and did have a bit of gas smell to it. The person that I bought the car from had been starting the car every week for probably about 4/5 months before I bought it. I hope it is gas in the oil.

I'm going to get an emission chip later this week. Hopefully, that'll pass the Limited.

Question... what would a crack header do to the emissions number??

dave

ps: thanks for offering the Cats & O2 sensors, I'll let you know if I need to borrow. And also the Silver Wheel insurance!!!!!

If you have a cracked header that is bad news for emission testing.A cracked header will cause your car to run rich it will (read a LEAN COND), air is getting into the exaust the o2 reads the amount of oxygen going through it and if your exust is cracked then o2 will compensate and ecm will richen the mixture. That could be your problem right there.Your co was high also causing hc to be higher.Get that header fixed before doing anymore retesting.Dave you know whats funny is that i think that i was the guy who tested your car a couple of weeks ago. yup
